7:30 - Get ready for church. Brave "widow maker" electric shower head. Another mental note - showers here are not made for tall men
8:00 - Hearty toast and eggs breakfast, very good
8:30 - Wait for ride to church
8:45 - Wait for ride to church
8:50 - Get in pickup to go to church, find out that your ride was a little late because he was hauling cabbage for a neighbor lady. Remember that this is about people, not events.
9:15 - Practice special music while bouncing along road
9:30 - Help push dead truck off the side of road

9:35 - Inspect radiator
9:40 - Scavenge for water to fill radiator
9:50 - Call for help
10:00 - Load up in smaller car, leave half the group behind because of lack of room
10:30 - Bounce along road
10:45 - Be amazed at God's creation. Take in the huge mountains, the flowing rivers, and lack of oxygen. (Mental note- take deep breathes)

11:20 - Make it to church 1 hour and 20 minutes late. Remember that it is about people, not events.
11:21 - Enter small church building filled with mountain people, worshiping God
11:30 - Listen to special music in Quechua. Try and figure out what they are singing about

11:37 - Continue to listen to same special music
11:40 - Try to sing along in a foreign language, not much success
11:49 - Begin listening to sermon on I Corinthians 16:13,14
12:25 - Sermon ends, pastor of church introduces us to the congregation. Each of us are asked to share some words
12:32 - Explain why we are here, give short testimony
12:35 - Participate in their election of leaders, mostly in Quechua, a little in Spanish

1:00 - Sign special notebook signifying that we were present
1:10 - Sing more songs
1:20 - Greet every single person as they leave
1:40 - Be invited for dinner - a delicacy - Guinea Pig (mental note - silverware is not needed here, however the ability to swallow large chunks of unidentified food is)
2:30 - Say goodbye to everyone again, find out that the church pays about $6.50 for rent, lights and water of small church building
2:45 - Head back through the mountains for home

4:30 - Get back home
4:40 - Start laundry
4:50 - Drink lots of Coke to kill anything in my stomach that would want to make me sick
5:00 - Gain more insight from other missionaries
5:45 - Leave for church again, this time just a few blocks away
6:05 - Remember we are supposed to give our testimonies in the service
6:15- Start service, more or less. Remember that it is about people not events
6:20 - Electricity goes out while singing hymn
6:23 - Give testimony in dark (mental note - don't be distracted while they are trying to attach candles to pulpit while one is speaking)
6:30 - Tip over candle balanced precariously on top of bench
6:35 - Listen to half of sermon in dark

6:55 - Lights come back on, listen to next half of sermon
7:30 - Participate in Lord's supper
7:35 - Thank God for everything He is and has done for us
7:50 - Say goodbye to everyone in the church
8:15 - Get something to eat, talk with other missionaries
9:45 - Help type out Hebrews test for Pastor Evelio
11:00- Finish test, be thankful I don't have to take it
11:30 Get ready for bed, pray that we will keep learning
