They assured us that the "Anna" the anaconda was friendly (real creative, I know, but that was it's name). It is a little tough to believe when it starts to wrap around you and squeeze. Personally I wouldn't trade in my goldfish for one, but I am sure they would make an interesting pet.
We had an interesting discussion about God cursing the snake in Genesis. The comment was made, "The snake really is cursed! What a nasty animal."
