Suri - another Amazonian delicacy

While in Iquitos we made sure everyone tried Suri. Basically it is a big grub. We bought a couple sticks of them on the street corner, and gave it wing.

Now by the facial expressions one might guess that the taste is very bitter. On the contrary! It is not to bad. The texture leaves a little to be desired, but definitely eatable.

A comment was made after everyone finished that I would like to share. It went something to the effect of "Seth, I am doubting the depth of your love for me for talking me into eating this." (To protect the identity of the speaker, their name will go unquoted.)
